Most people now associate the role of Batman with Christian Bale, but those of a certain age will remember that Michael Keaton once played the role. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Tim Burton film, LEGO has released a 3,300-piece LEGO Batmobile based on the 1989 Batman movie. Like any expensive LEGO product, this model has a lot of parts, including 3,306 LEGO pieces. It measures 23 inches long, 8 inches wide, and 4 inches tall. Like the movie version of the Batmobile, it comes with an opening cockpit, a wraparound windshield, two grappling hooks, and two hidden machine guns with pop-up functions that can be activated by rotating the turbine exhaust. Other features include two minifigure seats, steering wheel, gearshift and dashboard stickers. There is also a Batman logo on the wheel. The set comes with 3 LEGO minifigures: Batman himself, the Joker and Vicki Vale, a brick-built minifigure display stand and a car rotating display stand. As part of Lego's Black Friday event, the 1989 Batmobile will be available on November 29 for $249.99. It can be purchased from Lego.com and retail stores, and users who purchase between November 29 and December 5 will also receive a miniature replica of the Batmobile. |
