Animator who participated in many of Makoto Shinkai's films announced a new work to be directed by himself and will be released in 2025

Japanese animator Yoshitoshi Shinomiya, who was responsible for drawing the posters and background art for Makoto Shinkai's animated film "The Garden of Words", as well as directing, drawing, and photographing the flashbacks in "Your Name", recently announced his own animated film "A NEW DAWN".

It is reported that Yoshitoshi Shinomiya's first feature-length animated film will be set against the backdrop of the 330-year-old fireworks factory "Taida Fireworks Shop" which is about to be demolished, and tells the story of three young people who grew up here searching for the legendary fireworks.

"A NEW DAWN" will be produced by the American animation studio Miyu Productions and the Japanese team Asmik Ace, and the animation will be produced by Studio Outrigger.

In addition, the film has been selected for the 77th Cannes Film Festival's animation project "Animation Day". It is expected that on May 19th local time, producer Yoshitoshi Shinomiya will attend the event and introduce the production highlights of "A NEW DAWN".
