James Wan and Jason Blum's two horror film labels will merge

According to a recent report by foreign media Deadline, two brands in the current Hollywood horror film industry: Jason Blum's production company "Blumhouse" and James Wan's production company "Atomic Monster" are expected to merge and have entered the final negotiation stage.

Blum said that James Wan is about 70%-80% artist and 20%-30% businessman, while he is just the opposite, and they can complement each other. He also hopes to increase the number of "House of Horrors" theatrical films released in the future, from an average of 3-4 films a year in the past to at least 8 films a year.

The representative works of "House of Horror" include "Paranormal Activity", "The Purge", "Halloween", "Get Out", "Happy Death Day", "Split", "The Exorcist", "Sinister", etc. The representative works of "Atomic Monster" include "The Conjuring", "Saw", "Insidious", etc. Both companies participated in the production of the new horror film "M3gan" which will be released in January next year.

After the merger, the two parties will continue to operate under different labels to maintain the independence of creation and brand. "House of Horror" currently has a priority contract with Universal Pictures, and "Atomic Monster" has a cooperation with Warner, but the contract is about to expire.
