Animflix, an anime pirated website, suddenly went offline, with tens of millions of monthly visits

According to foreign media reports, the anime streaming website "Animflix" was taken offline without prior notice, which caused heated discussions among netizens.

Animeflix has tens of millions of visitors per month and has built an active Discord community of more than 35,000 members (providing free online streaming services).

While the reason for the site's offline removal is unclear, the outlet reported that Animeflix has come under considerable legal pressure in recent months.

The report mentioned that Animeflix has been under the spotlight of the anti-piracy alliance ACE since last year. Its main domain name "Animeflix.live" was suspended after the copyright holder obtained a "dynamic + injunction" against 26 websites from the Delhi High Court in May.

Due to Animeflix's popularity, it's too early to tell if new Animeflix clones will appear on the internet in the future. But this closure is part of a current trend of many well-known piracy portals closing down, including ExtraTorrent, RARBG, and others.
