There are still a few weeks until Deadpool and Wolverine are released, but director Shawn Levy's Star Wars work is already gathering momentum. He announced in 2022 that he would direct a Star Wars movie, and now a new screenwriter has been added to the project, and it is also an old acquaintance of his.

Deadline has confirmed that Jonathan Tropper has signed on to write the screenplay for the director’s Star Wars project. Tropper’s previous projects with Levy include The Adam Project, 7 Days to Remember, and Kodachrome.

So far, there are no details about the plot of this "Star Wars" movie, nor is there any news on when the project will start shooting and be released. It is worth noting that this movie is not among the projects announced by Lucasfilm at the "Star Wars Celebration" in 2023.

The next Star Wars movie that's already planned is The Mandalorian and Goguryeo, which will be released on May 22, 2026. There are two more movies coming on December 18, 2026, and December 17, 2027.
