I Know What You Did Last Summer will be filmed as a TV series with James Wan as producer

The 1997 film "I Know What You Did Last Summer" will be adapted into a TV series and produced by Amazon. The famous horror film director James Wan will serve as the producer of the series.

In the charming coastal town, several high school students who are about to graduate participate in a beauty pageant. The blonde Helen wins the title of beauty queen. To celebrate, she invites her boyfriend Barry, her best friend Julie and her boyfriend Ray to the beach in Barry's car. Unfortunately, a car accident occurs on the road, killing a man. In panic, they decide to dump the body into the sea and agree to keep it a secret. From then on, their lives change and they are burdened with a heavy psychological burden. More and more strange things happen around them, making them suspicious of each other.

The film "I Know What You Did Last Summer" later spawned two sequels, "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" in 1998 and "I Always Know What You Did Last Summer".

As for the TV series, it is not clear how the story will be changed.
