The producer of the TV version of "The Witcher" reveals the biggest difficulty in filming: There are too many stories, so where should we start?

Netflix's new drama "The Witcher" will be broadcast in the fourth quarter of this year. Previously, the producer of the show, Lauren S. Hissrich, has mentioned more than once that "The Witcher" TV series is adapted from the novel, but at the recent SDCC 2019 Comic Exhibition, Hissrich talked about the difficulty of adaptation in an interview with foreign media Comicbook, that is, where to start when there are too many stories?

Lauren S. Hissrich, producer of The Witcher TV series, said in an interview: "The biggest challenge in filming this series is that there are too many stories in the original novel. What I mean is that the original novel is a series of novels. What we can do is to make the TV series as long as possible so that we can tell all the stories, but the problem is that we have to shoot it season by season."

"For me, it means reading the original novel carefully, and then deciding how to start our TV series. We need to choose a story that we think can build the world view of the whole show, build each character into that story, and allow the audience to better integrate into and understand the story. So we have to sort out everything from the beginning and then decide on the form of our opening story."

So fellow Gwent players, which story do you think is the best opening for a TV series?

Netflix's "The Witcher" TV series will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2019, with a total of 8 episodes in the first season.
