Marvel's Shang-Chi star Simu Liu reveals he recommended himself on Twitter

According to foreign media CNET, Marvel recently announced the protagonist of the first solo Chinese superhero movie "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings". The Chinese actor Simu Liu who plays the protagonist proves that the saying "ask diligently and you will gain something" is true.

Marvel revealed at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday that Simu Liu will be one of the stars of its latest solo Chinese superhero film, but it turns out that Liu had already pitched himself to Marvel on Twitter a few months earlier.

“Ok @Marvel, shall we talk Shang-Chi,” Simu Liu tweeted in December.

After Marvel's announcement on Saturday, he retweeted the post and jokingly added: "Thanks for getting back to me."

The movie "Shang-Chi", which will be released on February 12, 2021, will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. Famous actor Tony Leung and Hollywood Chinese-Korean singer and actor Awkwafina will also join the film.

Marvel also announced a number of future film and television works: including "Thor 4", "Doctor Strange 2", and original series such as "Loki" and "Falcon and the Winter Soldier".
