Marvel announces Blade! Oscar for Best Supporting Actor

As the finale of the SDCC San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel finally announced the reboot plan of the "Blade" series. However, the information disclosed this time is very limited. Apart from a logo and the starring Mahershala Ali, we still don't know the release date, director, etc.

The original "Blade" series had already been filmed in 1998. Its unconventional vampire superhero theme was popular all over the world, grossing 130 million US dollars at the box office and making the lead actor Wesley Snipes famous. The version starring Mahershala Ali may have fewer dark and sexual elements in the original series, and more prominently show the positive image of Blade as a hero.

Blade is a superhero of Marvel Comics, first appeared in The Tomb of Dracula No. 10 (July 1973), co-created by Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan. His real name is Eric Brooks, because his mother Miriam was bitten by the vampire Deacon Frost when she was about to give birth to him and died after he was born, so he has half human and half vampire bloodline, and he became a vampire hunter when he grew up.
