Ken Wakui, the Japanese manga artist who created "Shinjuku Swan" and "Tokyo Bankai Avengers", moved from Kodansha to Shueisha. His latest work "The Star of Wishes (願いのアストロ)" has also begun serialization (serialized in the latest issue of "Weekly Shonen Jump"), and the official recently released a promotional PV for the new work. "The Star of Wishing" will be set in Asakusa, Tokyo, with superpowers and bad boys as its theme. It tells the story of the leader of the Asakusa gang organization "Seken Group" Kongo Seken who unfortunately passed away. His biological son gave up the succession and instead supported one of his adopted sons in order to uphold the "chivalrous heart" taught by his father. However, a meteorite falls on Japan, changing the story's direction, and a mysterious force called "Star" awakens among humans. A disaster marks the end of the era of peace, and humans return to an era of violence and chivalry. |
