Why did the subsequent episodes of "Swamp Thing" cancel the filming? There were differences in the main creative ideas

DC Universe is reportedly canceling subsequent episodes of Swamp Thing, though the now-completed first season will continue to air as planned.

"Swamp Thing" has just aired the first episode of the first season, but media such as GWW, Bloddy Disgusting and Variety have confirmed that the subsequent filming of the series has been canceled.

A source revealed that the cancellation of the follow-up to Swamp Thing was due to a disagreement among the creative staff behind the scenes, with one person wanting the series to be more horror-oriented and another wanting to adopt a "week-by-week development approach." The source also mentioned that another part of the reason was that Warner Bros. reevaluated their subscription service.

In April this year, there were rumors that "Swamp Thing" would be terminated after the 10th episode, and the originally planned 13 episodes in the first season would be cut into 10 episodes.

Virginia Madsen, who plays Maria Sunderland in the series, also posted an update on her Instagram account to confirm the suspension, but deleted the post immediately afterwards, leaving only a message saying, "I'm very sad, this is a terrible decision. We have been cut off from our core by people who have never set foot in the swamp. Although it's against the rules, I'm still going to use this tag. #SwampMonster"

"Swamp Thing" is a live-action TV series produced by DC Universe specifically for its own subscription service. Andy Bean plays Alec Holland and Derek Mears plays the swamp monster.

The first episode of "Swamp Thing" received good reviews, showcasing a diverse cast of characters and a grand worldview with a distinct Southern Gothic horror style.
