'Logan' Director in Talks to Direct DC Horror 'Swamp Thing'

The news of a potential director comes just one day after DC co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran unveiled their initial plans for the DCU. According to The Hollywood Reporter, James Mangold, the director of Logan and Indiana Jones 5, is expected to write and direct the Swamp Thing movie.

It is worth mentioning that after DC announced the "Swamp Thing" movie, James Mangold tweeted and posted a "Swamp Thing" comic, which was then retweeted by Gunn. The interaction between the two caused speculation from the outside world.

"Swamp Thing" is one of the first 10 film and television projects after the reboot of the DC Universe, which will tell the "dark origin" of this monster.

Gunn also mentioned at yesterday's big event that they are already in talks with directors for three of the five films announced.

In addition to the critically acclaimed "Logan" which earned him an Oscar screenplay nomination, James Mangold is also known for films such as "Girl, Interrupted," "Walk the Walk," "The Little Princess," and "3:18." His "Indiana Jones 5" will be released on June 30.
