Disney's new five-year plan: 3 "Star Wars" movies moved up, "Avatar" postponed

After the huge success of "Avengers 4: End Game" and became the second highest-grossing film in global film history, Disney announced its new "Five-Year Plan", which included the film schedule for 2019-2027. The four sequels of "Avatar" 2, 3, 4, and 5 were collectively postponed. "Avatar 2" was postponed from December 18, 2020 to December 17, 2021, "Avatar 3" was postponed to December 22, 2023, "Avatar 4" was postponed to December 29, 2025, and "Avatar 5" was postponed to December 17, 2027.

In addition, three "Star Wars" movies were announced to be advanced, and the titles of these three "Star Wars" movies are temporarily undecided, and they are scheduled to be released on December 16, 2022, December 20, 2024, and December 18, 2026 respectively. Among the big IP "X-Men" acquired by Disney, "Gambit" originally scheduled to be released in 2020 and several new "X-Men" films to be determined have all been withdrawn, and the "X-Men: New Mutants", which has been repeatedly postponed, has been postponed again, from August 2 this year to April 3, 2020.
