On February 24, the official Weibo account of "China's first science fiction film" "The Wandering Earth" announced that the film's cumulative box office has exceeded 4.3 billion yuan, which is still 1.3 billion yuan away from the 5.6 billion yuan box office champion of "Wolf Warrior 2" in mainland China's film history.

"The Wandering Earth" was officially released on February 5, the first day of the Chinese New Year. It has been released for 20 days and its box office has become the second place in the history of Chinese mainland movies, which shows how popular it is.

At the same time, "The Wandering Earth" earned 3.82 million US dollars in North America in 11 days, topping the North American box office list of Chinese films in the past five years and setting a new record for the top 5 ranking of Chinese films in the past five years.

A document released on the 22nd by the film's distributor, China Film Digital Film Development (Beijing) Co., Ltd., showed that the keys for all versions of "The Wandering Earth" will be extended from March 6 to May 5, and the release period will be extended by 2 months.

Starting from February 25 (today), the minimum ticket price for movies has been reduced, with digital 2D, digital 3D, China Giant Screen 3D and IMX 3D all reduced by 10 yuan.

The adjusted prices are:

Digital 2D: Class A 25 yuan, Class B 20 yuan;

Digital 3D, China Giant Screen 3D: Category A 30 yuan, Category B 25 yuan;

IMAX 3D: 35 yuan

Category A includes four first-tier cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
