One Piece Whitebeard voice actor Arimoto Kintaka dies at 78

Arimoto Kinryu has been in the voice acting business since the 1960s and has contributed his voice acting talents to many anime productions. His most famous role is probably Edward Newgate/Whitebeard in One Piece.

Arimoto Kintaka has also voiced Inspector Nogami in City Hunter, Patrick Sala in Mobile Suit Gundam Seed, and Tomomi Mamoru in Psycho-Pass. He has also dubbed many Hollywood blockbusters in Japanese.

Today, Livedoor News reported that Aben Chinlong had passed away on February 1 at the age of 78. He was diagnosed with esophageal cancer last year. May he rest in peace.
