Jake Gyllenhaal learns from classic western Unforgiven for his new film

The new version of "Cardcaptor" starring Jake Gyllenhaal will be officially released on March 21st, North American time. The story will revolve around a former UFC boxer (played by Jake Gyllenhaal) who works as a bodyguard in a bar full of evildoers in the Florida Keys, but he soon discovers that everything is not as good as it seems in this tropical paradise.

Recently, Jake Gyllenhaal revealed in an interview with foreign media that in order to reinterpret this classic Western film full of western style, he watched the classic western film "Unforgiven" starring Clint Eastwood before filming began and benefited a lot from it.

“Doug (director Doug Liman) and I watched Unforgiven before we started the film and analyzed it in terms of structure, character, and so on,” Jake Gyllenhaal said. “There’s a real sense of calmness to these characters. There’s very little words, but the actions say a lot. It’s that type of movie: The protagonist comes into a small town alone, he’s dealing with his past, but all the townspeople are taken advantage of, and then he’s asked to protect them, and he gets himself into more trouble.”
