Colombian cosplayer Transformers begs on the street for eight years and earns $20 a day

There are some differences in the definition of the term "beggar" between China and foreign countries. In foreign countries, many people regard begging as a "profession" and can even make a living and support their families. For example, this Colombian guy, who cosplays as a Transformer on the street every day, begs from passers-by and drivers, and has never stopped for eight years.

CGTN report video:

According to CGTN, Luis Cruz is an unemployed man in Bogota, the capital of Colombia, who loves the Transformers series. After losing his job, he turned to begging like many others, but there was one thing that was different.

He would spend time every night using cardboard to make, paint, and assemble a Transformers character cosplay costume. The next day, he would take the costume to the street, perform "Autobots! Transform! Let's go!" (although he was dressed as a Decepticon), and then beg for money from passers-by or drivers waiting at red lights.

According to him, he can earn up to US$20 (RMB 135) a day.

His neighbors and local people all think he is an extraordinary man who is not afraid of setbacks in life and is determined to find a way out and lead his family forward.

Regardless of the event itself, the brother's hands-on ability alone is admirable. In the past 8 years, he must have studied the restoration and folding transformation of the vehicle very thoroughly, and he is quite good from the perspective of Cos. Without further ado, I am going to People's Square to perform the Iron-hearted Trainman. Is there anyone willing to partner with me?
