The sci-fi adventure film "Predator City: Mortal Engines" produced by Peter Jackson, the director of "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" series, has been officially scheduled to be released in mainland China on January 18, and the release poster has been exposed. The story of Predator City: Mortal Engines is set thousands of years after a catastrophic event destroyed civilization. Humans have adapted and evolved a new way of survival - huge mobile cities roaming the earth, ruthlessly devouring small traction towns. Tom Natsworthy (Robert Sheehan), a low-class citizen from the large traction city of London, has to start fighting for survival after encountering the dangerous fugitive Hatter Shaw (Hella Hillmer). The film is directed by Christian Rivers, and this is his directorial debut. Christian has been in the industry for more than 20 years, mostly as a storyboard designer for Peter, and has also shot many action shots for the "Hobbit" series. The film is adapted from Philip Reeve's original novel, and this is also the first work in his steampunk tetralogy. The film was released in North America on the 14th of this month. |
