Stranger Things star reveals season 5 will be huge

"Stranger Things" star Finn Wolfhard said that the fifth season will be very grand and the series will return to the setting of the first season where the core actors are always together.

"The final season is kind of like a crossroads, so we're going to go back to a lot of the dynamics of the first season, which is really cool," Wolfhard told reporters. "There are some 'Leader Mike' moments, and this is obviously a very big season. Every season gets bigger and bigger, and this season is huge, but it's also a little bit isolated at the same time."

Wolfhard season 4 was separated from most of the main cast, as Mike went to California to visit Will and Eleven and got stuck there with Jonathan and Argyle, and the plot was split into two lines, taking place in two different states.

"For the first few months of Season 4 we barely shot anything because they were focusing so much on Hawkins. So I was really jealous," Wolfhard continued. "Even when I was watching the show at the end, my favorite part was watching the rest of the Hawkins guys. I loved that storyline so much. So yeah, it was definitely a bummer to not be around everybody for the whole Season 4 thing, but Season 5 was the opposite. We were all together the whole time."

Although Eleven temporarily defeated Vecna at the end of Season 4, Hawkins is still in chaos, and Vecna successfully opened four doors. Stranger Things Season 5 began filming in January 2024, after a strike by the Writers Guild of America and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.

The fifth season of Stranger Things has yet to be scheduled.
