There were multiple plans for "Avengers 3" and Thanos almost became the main narrative perspective

"Yes, that's me, Thanos. You must be wondering how I ended up in this crazy situation. It's a long story..."

This is not the opening of "Avengers 3: Infinity War", but there was indeed an opening similar to this one in the original alternative plan. According to the information revealed by the film's directors, the Russo brothers, in a recent interview with Collider, the alternative plan for "Avengers 3" may be very different from the movie we saw.

Director Anthony Russo said: "We had three drafts, and they were very different from each other. One draft had Thanos as the narrator and voiceover for the entire movie. This draft used a non-linear narrative structure and provided background introductions to the Black Order. Each member of the Black Order had a cool introduction. But this draft eventually developed into a 250-page script, and we realized, 'Okay, this is too much story to fit into one movie.'"

How to deal with the role of Thanos is undoubtedly the most important issue that Avengers 3 has to face. Letting Thanos act as a narrator and voiceover can undoubtedly show the dominance of this character very well. And this idea itself is also very interesting-few superhero movies are developed from the perspective of the villain.

Although Thanos's narration plan was eventually scrapped, the efforts put into it were not in vain:

I believe Thanos will be a qualified narrator, even though he sounds like a smoker.
