X-Men: Gambit is finally about to start filming! Start shooting before Disney acquires it

According to foreign media reports, the long-awaited X-Men independent film "Gambit" has finally started filming. According to the news, this superhero movie starring Hollywood actor Channing Tatum wants to start filming before Disney completes its acquisition of Fox next summer.

It is reported that Fox hopes to start filming in New Orleans on February 15 next year. When Gore Verbinski was originally scheduled to direct, the film company had already hired a group of crew members. However, according to the same source, Fox decided to start all over again and recruited a new cast team. Previously, "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" and "Logan" were both filmed on the set in New Orleans.

As for the director? No one has been chosen yet. Both Rupert Wyatt and Doug Liman left after being chosen. But producer Simon Kinberg said this summer that they were looking for someone and hoped to decide as soon as possible. However, they still hoped to start filming before the end of this year, so everything is uncertain.

Gambit has been mired in production limbo for too long, with several directors coming and going and several scripts over the years. Fox has invested a lot of time and resources in Gambit, and even though Disney has its own plans for the X-Men franchise after acquiring Fox, at least until the deal is completed, Fox can continue to develop its projects as is.

If Gambit can really start shooting next February, despite the tight schedule, it might be able to be finished before the acquisition! After all, the film's current release date is June 7 next year. Whether the people at Marvel Studios like it is another matter, and Kevin Feige will personally control the role of "X-Men". Many people have poured their hearts and minds into Gambit, and they know that once Mickey Mouse sits on the Iron Throne, the film may really be postponed. The opportunity is now or never.

However, don't think that just because of this news report, which we don't know if it's true or not, that "The King of Gamblers" can really be filmed. After all, the release date of this film has been changed several times. If it is not filmed in the end, fans should be mentally prepared and not be too sad.
