Superman actor Henry Cavill loves The Witcher and wants to play White Wolf

"Superman" actor Henry Cavill told IGN reporters at a promotional event for "Mission: Impossible - Fallout" that he has been busy finishing "The Witcher 3" recently, saying that the game is great and he likes it very much.

When asked if he would be interested in playing the game's protagonist, White Wolf/Geralt, he replied, "Of course, that's a character that everyone loves."

Cavill also praised the original book of The Witcher: "The book is very well written. I just started reading it. It is definitely worth reading."

Cavill, who plays Superman on the screen, is an avid gamer. He has publicly praised "The Elder Scrolls 5" and "World of Warcraft". In order to focus on "World of Warcraft", he once missed a call from Zack Snyder asking him to star in "Man of Steel".

Netflix announced in May last year that it would bring "The Witcher" to the big screen, and invited Lauren Hissrich (The West Wing, Daredevil) to be the creator, but the progress of the script has always been a mystery, and it is said that only the pilot episode has been completed.

Here is Cavill's period costume look (Immortals, 2011):
