Korean comic "High School Life Record" is accused of directly copying "Slam Dunk"

Netizens have discovered that two frames of the latest comic "High School Life Record" by Korean webtoon author Kim Song-mo seem to be directly copied from "Slam Dunk". Of course, "Slam Dunk" author Inoue Takehiko has also been accused of plagiarizing NBA promotional photos.

According to Korean mainstream media Joins and Naver, the author Kim Song-mo issued a statement saying that he was a fan of "Slam Dunk" and studied more than 30 "Slam Dunk" comics when he was studying comic art. Someone also told him that the work looked like the style of Takehiko Inoue. He then explained that the similarity between the two pictures was more due to subconscious memory in his mind rather than deliberate plagiarism. He apologized for the incident and took measures to prevent it from happening again.

It is also reported that Kim Song-mo's comic book "Real Record of High School Life" has now stopped serialization.
