Today (February 28), Netflix officially announced that the live-action series "Parasyte" adapted from the popular comic will be broadcast on April 5. The plot is completely original and directed by Yeon Sang-ho, the director of "Train to Busan", and starring Jeon Shao-ni, Koo Kyo-hwan, and Lee Jung-hyun. "Parasyte" is a SF manga created by Hitoshi Iwaaki. It was animated in 2014 and a live-action movie was released in the same year, starring Shota Sometani, Eri Fukatsu, and Ai Hashimoto. The story tells that a parasitic beast invades the human brain and controls the host, causing panic in the world. The creature "MIGI" that parasitizes his body did not eat his brain, but replaced his right hand. And Izumi Shinichi started a series of desperate battles with other perfect parasitic beasts for the sake of his relatives and friends killed by the parasitic beasts and the future of all mankind. The work explores many issues such as survival and life existence through the rational perspective of parasitic beasts that is different from that of humans. It is full of philosophical thinking under the packaging of a grotesque and bizarre style. |
