The Borderlands franchise that defined the looter shooter genre is getting its own cinematic universe, and it’s about time. All six games in the series are beloved by fans for their fantasy worlds and quirky characters, and director Eli Roth’s live-action version will bring those elements to life. The movie will be released this summer. While waiting, IGN exclusively interviewed director Roth and Gearbox Entertainment founder and film executive producer Randy Pitchford to talk about all aspects of "Borderlands". Roth was given extensive creative freedom on the project, with Pitchford on hand to provide deeper insights into the original series. IGN first exclusively revealed the preview of the live-action movie "Borderlands": Movie Poster: "Borderlands" will be released in the United States on August 9, 2024 and will be distributed by Lionsgate. |
