The second season of The Last of Us will start filming in February and will premiere in 2025. HBO recently officially confirmed that Kaitlyn Dever will play the role of Abby in the second season.

Kaitlyn Dever auditioned for the role of Ellie before filming the first season of The Last of Us, but was unsuccessful, and Bella Ramsey eventually won the role. Kaitlyn Dever also participated in the production of Uncharted 4, playing the role of Drake's daughter and doing dubbing and motion capture work.
