25 classic movies including "Terminator 2" enter the US National Film Collection

The National Film Archive of the United States recently announced that 25 new classic films of the year have been added to the archive, including important milestone works such as "Terminator 2".

The National Film Collection is designed to preserve the United States' film heritage and pass on outstanding films to future generations. The criteria are important works of the same period with obvious advantages in culture, history, and aesthetics. 25 works will be selected each year.

Other films selected along with Terminator 2 include Home Alone, Apollo 13, Dinner at 8, Secret Date, and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
