'Super Mario Bros. Movie' theme song 'Princess Peach' not nominated for an Oscar

The animated film "Super Mario Bros.: The Movie", co-produced by Illumination Entertainment and Nintendo, directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, written by Matthew Fogel, with Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, and Jack Black as the main voice actors, officially hit the big screen in 2023 and achieved excellent results, proving that the "Mario" IP influence is very strong.

The song "Princess Peach's Song" sung by the villain Bowser in the film also became a hot topic thanks to Jack Black's emotional and skillful voice. The official also launched an independent music video for this, as well as a real-life music video in which Jack Black dressed up as Bowser himself.

However, the Oscars may not favor this original song. According to the Oscar original song shortlist recently announced by Twitter user "FilmUpdates", "Princess Peach's Ballad" was not nominated.

The next Oscars is expected to be held on March 10 next year. Fans of the "Mario" series may still have the opportunity to see a live performance version of "Princess Peach's Ballad", but they will not have the opportunity to see the song compete for an award.
