It's not too late: Shueisha announces its entry into vertical reading comics JUMP TOON

The vertical reading comics WEB TOON, which is extremely popular in South Korea and other regions, has finally been noticed by Shueisha, a giant in the Japanese comic industry. It recently announced its entry into the vertical reading comics circle. The new APP "JUMP TOON" will be launched in 2024. Although it is a bit late, it has finally kept up with the situation.

The so-called vertically-reading comics are vertically distributed scroll comics specially made for reading on mobile platforms. They are also called Webtoon in the industry. In today's market where the paper comics industry has matured, they are still considered a blue ocean. Currently, Japanese giants including Rakuten, NTT, Bandai Namco and Amazon have already entered the market.
