The filming date for the second season of The Last of Us will be confirmed soon

HBO's live-action series "The Last of Us" will launch a second season, and now the production time has been finalized. According to foreign media reports, the series creator Craig Mazin said in a special discussion this week that filming will begin on February 12. (Previously, it was reported that the filming of the second season would begin in January next year, but this schedule seems to be inaccurate)

This start date is not unexpected. Previously, HBO boss Casey Bloys said that the second season will begin filming in early 2024. As for the premiere time of the second season, it will have to wait until 2025 at the earliest, so fans still need to wait patiently for a while.

The first season of The Last of Us premiered in January 2023 and quickly became a success, so a second season was put on the schedule. However, before filming, a strike by Hollywood writers and actors made the production of the series difficult. Now that the strike has ended, Craig Mazine and Neil Druckmann can start their plans for the second season.

Another HBO blockbuster that is about to return is Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon, with its second season set to premiere in summer 2024. The show did not stop production during the Hollywood strike and has been proceeding as planned.

In terms of games, the multiplayer mode of "The Last of Us" has reportedly been shelved, and the third part of the series has been put on the agenda, but there is no specific news yet.
