Tom Hardy thanks Venom 3 crew for confirming filming has resumed

Tom Hardy, the famous British actor who stars in "Venom", recently shared a photo of himself with his long-term collaborator Kelly Marcel and stuntman Jack Tomuri on his Instagram. While expressing his gratitude to them, he confirmed that with the end of the strike of the American Screen Actors Guild SAG-AFTRA, "Venom 3" has resumed filming.

In the post, he wrote: "Thankfully, we are back filming; I want to take a moment to thank all the team who have been so far from V1 (Venom 1) all the way to now."

He praised the film's "amazing cast and crew," continuing: "There are always hard times when we work, but when you love what you do and know you have great resources and support, it doesn't feel that hard. When you're surrounded by a talented and passionate crew, when you're surrounded by people you love and care about, there's no better environment."

He singled out Marcel, saying he was very proud of her. Marcel took over from Ruben Fleischer, the director of the first film, and Andy Serkis, the director of the sequel. He said: "It was a pleasure (to work with you). Trust your instincts, they are always spot on. You are top notch - I support you 100%. As always, I thoroughly enjoy working with you and watching you take on bigger challenges each time."

It is not clear what the plot of Venom 3 will be. The film was originally scheduled to be released on July 12, 2024, but because the strike stopped filming, the release date has now been postponed to November 8.
