The upcoming Batman spinoff The Penguin, starring Robert Pattinson, may not be the only TV show set in this new universe. Producer Dylan Clark recently told Entertainment Weekly that he is considering "another TV exploration" of the Batman universe. “We looked at the whole world around Batman — the villains around them, all the crime in the city that needs to be dealt with — and tried to figure out what would be the best scope to explore,” he said. In the interview, he also confirmed that the story of "Penguin" will be "almost directly" connected to the "New Batman 2" movie. Robert Pattinson will return to star in the film, which is scheduled to be released in 2026. Series creator Lauren LeFranc said: "We are the bridge between the two movies." It's unclear at this time whether Batman, or Pattinson, will appear in the series. The Penguin will premiere in September this year. |
