Thor: Ragnarok and Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi has shared some thoughts on what a possible Thor 5 movie would need, and one of them is a villain more powerful than Hela. According to Screen Rant, Waititi was interviewed by Titan for the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder movie special book and talked about what the future holds for our favorite Asgardian characters. Although the book won't be released until September 19, Waititi had a few words that might excite those who are hoping that Thor 5 will actually happen. "What else can he do? We have to make him feel like he's evolving as a character, but still be interesting, and still have more adversaries and feel like he's overcoming the odds," Waititi said. "I don't think we can have a villain that's weaker than Hela. I feel like we need to build on that and add a stronger villain." This is going to be a tall order considering that Hela is not only the daughter of Odin, the sister of Thor and Loki, but also the goddess of death and executioner of Asgard. This means that the villain of Thor 5 will be even more powerful than the villain of Thor 4, Gorr the God Butcher. Waititi also wants to lean more into the mythology of Thor, which will have him facing off against "more and more bizarre, crazy beasts, monsters, and aliens" that are "huge, inventive, and colorful." |
