Nathan Fillion joins Superman: Legacy

Nathan Fillion joins Superman: Legacy

James Gunn's "Superman: Legacy" movie has unveiled a new cast:

Nathan Fillion (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, The Rookie) as Guy Gardner / Green Lantern Corps

Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt

Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl

Fillion will play Guy Gardner, a "masculine, large man" who is a bit annoying but still lovable. Fillion played a similar role in "Dr. Horrible," playing the superhero Captain Hammer, so he seems to be a perfect choice. The character is known for his red bowl-cut hair, and Vanity Fair confirmed that Fillion will keep this look in the "Superman: Legacy" movie.

Fillion is a frequent guest in Rollins's films, having previously played The Detachable Kid in Suicide Squad, and also starred in Ripper and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Fillion became famous through the American TV series Firefly.

Gaethje, a frequent star in films such as Twilight and X-Men: First Class, will play Michael Holt, a brilliant inventor who first appeared in Spectre magazine in 1997. Mr. Terrific is a member of the Justice Society and has a rivalry with Batman, which could lay the foundation for the future development of the DC Universe.

As for Monet, she will play Hawkgirl, a character who first appeared in the 1940s. Over the years, there have been many different versions of Hawkgirl, but she has basically used swords, spears and maces. Monet previously starred in "Sicario 2."
