DC superhero movie "Blue Beetle" releases final trailer

The DC superhero movie "Blue Beetle" released the final trailer today (July 12), which marks that the movie is getting closer to its official release.

From director Angel Manuel Soto (Street Racer, The Farm), Warner Bros. Pictures’ BLUE BEETLE stars Solomaridana (TV’s Cobra Gym) as the eponymous character and his mortal alter ego Jaime Reyes, marking the big-screen debut of the DC Super Hero.

"Blue Beetle" tells the story of Jaime Reyes who has just graduated from college and returned to his hometown, full of ambitions for the future, but finds that his home is no longer the same as before. He begins to look for his purpose in this world, and then fate knocks on the door. Jaime accidentally finds an ancient relic of alien biotechnology - a scarab beetle. This scarab suddenly chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, allowing Jaime to obtain a magical armor and be given unexpected superpowers. This changes Jaime's fate forever, and he becomes the superhero Blue Beetle.

The rest of the cast includes Adriana Bailasa (Rambo: Last Blood, Thor) as Jaime's grandmother; Damien Alcazar (Narcos, Narcos Mexico) as Jaime's father; Epidia Calliope (The Outsiders, The Ultimate Fighter film series) as Jaime's mother; Bruna Malcosine (La Casa de Madivas, God Save the King) as Jeanne Cod; Raul Trujillo (The Frontier film series, The Outsiders) as his father; The film stars Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon (The Queen, Dead Men Tell No Tales) as Victoria Cord; and Jorge Lopez (Rio series, The Smurfs series) as Jaime's uncle Rudy; as well as Belisa Escobedo (American Horror Story, Snow White 2) as Jaime's sister Milagro; and Javier Gene (The Vampire Diaries) as Dr. Sanchez.

The screenwriter of "Blue Beetle" is Gareth Dunnett Elkosse ("Double-Faced Butterfly"), and the story is adapted from the DC character. The producers are John Rickard and Chaif ​​Forman, and the executive producers are Hamada Walter, Galen Wassman and Guy Garrett Grant.

Director Angel Manuel Soto’s creative team behind the scenes includes director of photography Paavo Pogosowski (Midsummer Nightmare, Feud), production designer John Billington (Bad Boys), editor Craig Albert (Deadpool 2, Fallen City), Academy Award-nominated costume designer Mayes Rubeo (The Boy Who Came In, Thor films), visual effects supervisor Kelvin McIlvaine (The Suicide Squad: Assemblage, Aquaman) and composer Bobby Kerlink (Midsummer Nightmare, Snowpiercer).

"Blue Beetle" is produced by Warner Bros. Pictures, produced by Safran, and distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures. It will be released on August 17.
