Nolan confirms Oppenheimer will contain adult scenes

According to an interview with Oppenheimer star Cillian Murphy in The Guardian, Nolan will break with tradition and include "long naked" and intimate scenes between Murphy and actress Florence Pugh for the first time in the film, as well as a "complex" sequence between him and Emily Blunt that Murphy considers "pretty heavy."

Florence Pugh will play Jean Tatlock, Oppenheimer's former fiancée and lover, while Emily Blunt will play his wife, scientist Kitty Oppenheimer.

In the interview, Murphy said he had received strict instructions "not to leak anything", so he did not further discuss the specific content of the above clip. However, he said that he and Emily Blunt had worked together in "A Quiet Place 2", which helped the two play a couple in "Oppenheimer".

He told The Guardian: "You can be vulnerable and open in an instant and try things. I remember saying to her at one point: 'If it weren't for you, I wouldn't be able to do these things.'"
