Netflix has released the official trailer for the Resident Evil series, showing a futuristic dystopian setting. It's unclear how much of the show's history is about the Umbrella Corporation, which the trailer mentions has been plagued by scandals. Although the Umbrella Corporation has always been a master of trouble in the Resident Evil story, we won't know the truth until the show premieres on July 14. From the trailer, it seems that a new zombie frenzy has begun again, because Umbrella accidentally mixed some drugs with the T virus. It is not sure whether they did it "unintentionally", but considering the reputation of Umbrella in the biochemical series, it is hard to say. The trailer doesn't show many typical monsters from the Resident Evil series, only a Licker appears. Of course, in the full series, I believe we will see more traditional monsters from the series. There is a lot of latest news about the Resident Evil IP. Just last week during Sony's PlayStation State of Play, the official announced that Resident Evil 4: Remake will be released in March 2023. Resident Evil 8 will be released on PSVR2, just like Resident Evil 7 landed on PSVR1. New trailer for the Resident Evil series Video screenshots
