Marvel may make an independent movie about Star-Lord to tell the story of adapting to life on Earth

According to foreign media reports, James Gunn, director of the Guardians of the Galaxy series, and Chris Pratt, the actor of the series, have discussed the independent film of Star-Lord, which will tell the story of "Star-Lord" Peter Quill adapting to life on Earth.

WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

At the end of the movie "Guardians of the Galaxy 3", Star-Lord left the Guardians of the Galaxy and decided to return to Earth to reunite with his elderly grandfather. Before leaving, Star-Lord recommended Rocket to lead the team (fulfilling the joke that Thor thought Rocket was the captain in "Avengers 3"), and introduced new members. The new lineup is: Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Adam Warlock, Kraglin, Fela and Cosmo.

It is worth mentioning that the first two Guardians of the Galaxy movies ended with "Guardians of the Galaxy will return", while the third one was changed to "The legendary Star-Lord will return". Considering that the second post-credits Easter egg of Guardians of the Galaxy 3 was Star-Lord having breakfast with his grandfather, it seems that Star-Lord will stay on Earth for some time in the future, which opens the door for Star-Lord's return.

Just because the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy is over doesn't mean Star-Lord's story is over. It could be the beginning of an exciting new chapter.
