Dune 2 is set to be released later this year, and according to star Rebecca Ferguson, the sequel is a very different scale than the first film, and a huge improvement. Ferguson told Collider that the sequel is "awesome." She said she gets emotional talking about the film because she's so excited about the work done by director Danis Villeneuve, cinematographer Greig Fraser and the entire team. She said: "The first one was phenomenal and huge and grand and had close-ups and images and performances. Yes, that was all great. But it was nothing compared to the second one. The second one, it was like a s*** punch. It was incredible." She didn’t see the final film herself, but the footage she saw left a deep impression on her. “It’s incredible, it’s beyond words,” she praised, going on to praise the costume work of the film’s designer Jacqueline West and the acting of Austin Butler and Christopher Walken. Dune 2 is scheduled to be released in theaters on November 3. |
