The live-action series adapted from Sony Santa Monica's "God of War" game did not go smoothly at the beginning. Last year, Amazon fired all the writers and restarted the project. Now Ronald D. Moore, a senior writer of "Star Trek", has been invited to take the helm. Ronald revealed that Amazon has ordered two seasons for this series. Ronald D. Moore is a senior screenwriter in Hollywood. He was the screenwriter of Mission: Impossible 2 and The Thing, and the screenwriter of the unreleased film I, Robot 2 (2030). In addition to Star Trek, he is also the producer/screenwriter of For All Mankind, Outlander, and Battlestar Galactica series. In the podcast, Ronald revealed that he is currently working on the project in the writers' room. However, the veteran producer said that he is not a gamer and has never done anything like a game adaptation series. Additionally, Ronald said he tried to play the God of War game but couldn't because he's not a gamer himself and grew up mostly playing arcade games. Ronald said he couldn't master modern controllers. It was said that the God of War live-action series will be based on Norse mythology, but with Ronald at the helm, the series may change direction. |
