The Star of "Vampire Life" May Participate in the Live-Action "Minecraft" Movie

According to Deadline, Matt Berry, the star of the American TV series "Vampire Life" and "The IT Crowd", is in talks with the film company and may star in the "Minecraft" movie with "Aquaman" Jason Momoa.

The film will be directed by Jared Hess, the director of "Napoleon Magnificent", and produced by Warner Bros. At present, the roles of the two actors and the plot are strictly confidential, but it is said that this live-action adaptation will bring the popular sandbox game developed by Mojang and Microsoft into reality. The film is currently scheduled to be released on April 4, 2025.

The film was previously directed by Rob McElhenney (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia). According to him, he spent three years focusing on making the film, and Warner Bros. gave him $150 million in funding. But after Warner Bros. Film Head Greg Silverman left the company in 2016, the project was shelved. In 2018, the project completely went bankrupt.

It wasn't until last year that production of the film was put back on the schedule after Jason Momoa confirmed he would star in the film.
