According to domestic media reports, box office competition in the mainland film market was fierce on Friday, with many new films premiering in the mainland, including the latest in the Harry Potter series, "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald," which ultimately grossed 80.89 million yuan on Friday, failing to dethrone "Venom."

Venom performed strongly, with a 46% screening rate on Friday, slightly higher than the 44.5% of Fantastic Beasts 2. It grossed 83.64 million yuan on the day, firmly ranking first. The film's cumulative box office in mainland China has reached 1.149 billion yuan.

Another new film released on Friday was the low-budget film "The Unknown" starring Chen Jianbin and Ren Suxi, which ranked third with a box office of 9.41 million.

"Detective Conan: Zero the Enforcer", which was released for a week, earned 2.83 million on Friday, and its cumulative box office officially exceeded 100 million.
