IGN rated the live-action movie "The Little Mermaid" 7 points, Halle Bailey's performance was outstanding

The media ratings for the live-action movie "The Little Mermaid" have been released, and foreign media IGN reviewed it and gave it a 7-point rating. IGN believes that the film is full of emotion, but overall it is not very successful.

IGN Rating: 7 points good

“The Little Mermaid,” full of emotion and starring Halle Bailey and others, is an acceptable, if not generally successful, adaptation of the animated book.

IGN's overall review:

Halle Bailey gave a fine performance as Ariel in the live-action version of The Little Mermaid. Melissa McCarthy was also attractive as Ursula. But overall, the film sometimes struggled to maintain its quality. Its problems were bland underwater scenes, a lack of attractive marine creatures, and odd, unmemorable additions to the story.

However, the live-action version of The Little Mermaid also draws on elements from the original film, such as its brilliant interpretation of Part of Your World. So the film is not stable, but it has enough original ideas to not feel too bad when watching it.
