In the first episode of Andor, the prison break on the planet Narkina 5 was a much-loved episode. However, at the end of this episode, one character did not escape. He is Kino Loy, played by the famous actor Andy Serkis. His fate is still unknown, but according to the actor, he may appear again in the second season, which has already been confirmed. In an interview with ET, "Andor" series creator Tony Gilroy revealed that Kino is confirmed to have survived the prison break, but because the character can't swim (the prison is surrounded by the ocean, and the people trapped during the prison break have to swim to escape), he may not be able to swim a way to his life. "He didn't die. I don't know what happened, but he didn't die. We didn't see him die (in the show)," Gilroy said. Andy Serkis added: "If he had jumped, then he would have been doomed, he would have died. But he didn't, so he's still alive and is figuring out his next move." This also means that the much-loved character may make an appearance in the second season, which is currently being filmed in the UK. According to official information revealed at Star Wars Celebration, the second season of "Andor" will continue to shoot until August. Gilroy estimated that the second season will be broadcast in August 2024. A preview clip of the second season was also played at the celebration, but it was not released. Diego Luna will continue to experiment with Andor, Genevieve O'Reilly's Alliance leader Mon Mothma, and Kyle Soller's captain of the Security Force, Shere Kahn. It is said that the new season will still have "no shortage of artillery action scenes and trajectory-filled space politics." |
