The director of the hit "Squid Game" is exhausted physically and mentally: he wants to rest on an isolated island

The South Korean drama "Squid Game" has become a hit, becoming the most watched series on the streaming platform Netflix. The second season will air its first episode on December 26, and the third season has been filmed and will be aired in 2025. The series is apparently very difficult to shoot, and director Hwang Dong Hyuk lost nearly 10 teeth due to excessive stress during the filming of the first season.

In a recent interview with Variety magazine, the director said that he has no plans after finishing his work on the third season and just wants to rest.

"I'm tired. I'm so tired. I have to say, at some point, I'm tired of Squidward Games. I'm tired of making them and then having to sell them," he said.

"So I'm not thinking about my next project right now. I just want to go to some remote island, not have to answer any calls from Netflix, and enjoy my free time." However, he then quickly clarified that it was definitely not the island where "Squidward Fever" was located.
