Kim Kardashian to star in American Horror Story Season 12

According to The Hollywood Reporter, reality TV star, entrepreneur and socialite Kim Kardashian has signed on to star in the upcoming 12th season of the FX series American Horror Story (AHS). Kardashian will be working with returning cast member and former alum Emma Roberts.

Season 12 is also the first season to be written and produced by Halley Feiffer, who is also currently working on a Broadway musical adaptation of the 1991 film Thelma & Louise.

“Kim is one of the biggest and brightest TV stars in the world, and we’re thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family,” said series co-creator Ryan Murphy. “Emma and I are thrilled to be working with such a true powerhouse in the culture. Halley Feiffer has created a character that’s funny, stylish, and scary, and especially for Kim, this season is incredibly ambitious and unlike anything we’ve ever done!”

Season 12 of American Horror Story will be based in part on Danielle Valentine's upcoming novel Delicate (also the subtitle of the season). The novel centers on a woman who becomes convinced that a sinister agency is trying to ensure she never gets pregnant. The book is due out in August and is described by author Andrea Bartz as having a feminist tone.

Season 12 is currently scheduled to begin filming in New York, USA in late April, with a summer premiere planned.
