Japanese man steals entire volume of Demon Slayer and wants to sell it for a high price, arrested by police

According to Japanese media hbc recently reported, a 26-year-old man ran into a bookstore and stole the entire volume of "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" and was arrested by Japanese police.

On April 7, Japanese police arrested a 26-year-old male worker who stole all the volumes of Demon Slayer. The man stole all 23 volumes of the popular manga Demon Slayer worth 12,012 yen (about 720 yuan) from a bookstore in Chuo District, Sapporo.

According to the police, the bookstore security guard found the man holding a paper bag in the store, acting suspiciously. The man then put all 23 volumes of "Demon Slayer" into the paper bag and walked out of the bookstore without paying. The security guard stopped him and called the police.

During the interrogation, the man said: "I was short of money and wanted to steal something to sell for money. I chose to take "Demon Slayer" because I thought it would be easy to sell and could be sold at a higher price."
