"Guardians of the Galaxy" "Yondu" actor joins "Fast and Furious 9"

According to foreign media reports, Michael Rooker, the actor who plays "Yondu" in "Guardians of the Galaxy", will join Universal Pictures' "Fast and Furious 9".

Deadline reports that Rooker has joined the star-studded Fast & Furious 9 film as Buddy, but it's unclear how big of a role he will play in the film.

It is worth mentioning that Vin Diesel, the actor from the "Fast and Furious" series, once voiced Groot in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie, and the two can be considered to be working together again.

In addition to Rooker and Vin Diesel, Fast & Furious 9 also stars Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Nathalie Emmanuel and Jordana Brewster.

Justin Lin will direct "Fast & Furious 9" and "Fast & Furious 10", of which "Fast & Furious 10" will be the finale of the series.

Fast & Furious 9 is currently filming and is scheduled to be released on May 22, 2020.
