Edward Norton releases first stills of his self-written and directed film "Orphan Brooklyn"

Recently, the first stills of "Orphan Brooklyn", written, directed and starred by Edward Norton, and starring William Dafoe, Bruce Willis, Alec Baldwin and others, were released.

The film is adapted from Jonathan Lethem's novel of the same name. The story takes place in New York in 1954. It describes an orphan named Leno who lives in St. Vincent's Home for Juveniles in Brooklyn, New York. He suffers from Tourette syndrome (a neurological disease characterized by chronic multiple motor tics and vocal tics). He is accidentally involved in a murder case. In order to get rid of his suspicion, Leno begins to track down the real murderer and the truth behind the scenes. He only has a few simple clues. In order to track down the murderer, he traveled all over Brooklyn, met all kinds of people, and while saving others and himself, he re-recognized the whole world and himself.

As early as 1999, Edward Norton was ready to adapt this novel into a movie, but the filming did not start for various reasons. "Orphan Brooklyn" is Norton's return to directing 19 years after his directorial debut "As Always" in 2000. The film will have its world premiere at this year's Toronto Film Festival and will be the closing film at the 57th New York Film Festival.

It is reported that the film will be released in North America on November 1.
