Is a sequel confirmed? The Super Mario Bros. Movie will have a post-credits Easter egg

In an interview with CBR, Mario's voice actor revealed that "Super Mario Bros. Movie" released on April 5 will have a post-credits Easter egg.

The voice actor revealed in an interview, "Listen, at the end of the movie, there's a post-credits scene that gives you a taste of what the sequel might be about. That makes me very, very excited."

Chris Pratt, the voice actor of Mario, once told the media that Nintendo might create a Mario movie universe, such as subsequent movies starring Donkey Kong and Luigi.

This film is an animated film adapted from a classic Nintendo game, directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, written by Matthew Fogel, and produced by Shigeru Miyamoto and Chris Meledandri. The film tells the story of how Mario and his brother Luigi save the invaded Penguin Ice Kingdom. There are many classic game elements in the movie, such as gold coins, mushrooms, and Cat Rio. The English dubbing lineup of the film includes stars such as Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black, etc., and the Japanese dubbing is performed by Mamoru Miyano as the voice of Mario. The film will be released simultaneously in the United States and mainland China on April 5, 2023, and in Japan on April 27.
